Basilico

Basilico entices with an emphasis on fresh, seasonal and authentic Italian cuisine. Enjoy both à la carte and buffet options featuring a dazzling array of signature dishes and sumptuous spreads of antipasti, mains and desserts. FESTIVE FEASTS AT BASILICO 

From December 1 - 31

Raise a glass and toast to an all-Italian Buone Feste with produce picked at the height of their seasons. Throughout the month of December, lunches, dinners and brunches take on delicious festive twists.

Indulge in Parma Ham-wrapped Turkey Roulade filled with Foie Gras and Chestnuts, Jerusalem Artichoke Tortino and Raisin Sauce; and 12-hr Slow Cooked Traditional Pork Cotechino with Castelluccio Lentil Stew and Polenta Crouton; while enjoying traditional Italian Christmas breads such as Panettone and Pandoro with Christmas Mascarpone Cream. For memorable wine pairings, opt for our Prestige selection that includes free-flow pours of Blanc de Blanc Grand Cru 2006 by Duval-Leroy, a Basilico exclusive.

A kiddie's playroom complete with festive goodies, bouncy castle, game consoles, arts & crafts, is available for the little ones on December 25, 2018. They can expect some very special guests, including a magician and jolly ol’Santa himself!

A TRUE TASTE FROM HOME - ALPS & NEBBIOLO WINE DINNER

As one of the largest terraced vineyards in northern Italy, Valtellina produces prized reds made from the Nebbiolo grape. The ones from acclaimed winemaker Mamete Prevostini are delicate, elegant and harvested by hand. Head chef Luca Beccali hails from this region and is particularly passionate about pairing this wine dinner series with specialties from his hometown.

WHEN GEOGRAPHY MEETS GASTRONOMY

This year’s Basilissimo dinner series uses parallels to map out a unique Italian dining experience. In the final quarter of 2018, Basilico Head Chef Luca Beccalli navigates through the 45th to 47th parallels to bring you a menu of pastas, seafood and meats from the regions of Piedmont, Valle D'Aosta, Lombardy, Veneto, Trentino and Friuli.

To complement the dishes, choose from a sommelier-curated list of 20 wines for the perfect pairing. The three-course Basilissimo dinner includes an appetiser buffet, a choice of main and a dessert buffet.

Partake in a long-standing Italian tradition – a part of its culture, the fine appreciation of cheeses. Enjoy the impressive selection of over 40 artisanal cheeses, including Basilico-exclusive in-house infused specials - Marzolino di Pienza alla Birra e Orzo, Pecorino Romano with Amarone Wine. Take the indulgence up a notch as you enjoy the delicious fromage with endless flow of premium wines and end your Wednesday on a high note.

Meet Our Chef

Luca Beccalli

Born and raised in a small village in northern Italy, Chef Luca Beccalli brings to his cooking a passion for authenticity and the curiosity to explore, which stems from his love for travelling and discovering new cultures.

In a culinary career that began at the age of 15, Chef Luca honed his skills at various fine dining and casual restaurants across Europe and North America, before making his first foray into Asia as Head Chef of our award-winning flagship Italian restaurant, Basilico. Remaining true to his roots, his stunning creations retain the traditional essence of a dish, home-style cooking delivered with modern flair, and are a vibrant reflection of his personality – young, colourful and Italian!
